Másfél napos parti várakozást követően sikeres futamok lebonyolításával folytatódott a Rooster Laser Európa Kupa & BYC Kupa Ifjúsági Ranglista verseny második napja.
A délelőtt ismét várakozással telt, míg a kora délutáni órákban kellemes 6-7 csomós DNY-i szélben hagyta el a kikötőt a Laser, az Optimist, és a 420 és 29er vitorlázók serege.
Az Alfa pályán a 122 Optimistest állt rajthoz sárga és kék csoportbontásban. A versenyzők versenypályára érkezését követően a 40 fokról fújó ÉK-i szél leállt, így rögtön halasztással kezdett a mezőny. Egy ¾ órás várakozást követően megérkezett a stabil 200-220 fokról fújó, 13-14 csomós friss szél, amelyben 2-2 remek futamot sikerült rendezni a Holló Dániel vezette rendezőségnek. A korai naplemente miatt mára ennyi futotta. Két futam alapján egyelőre magyar dominancia jellemzi a mezőny elejét.
A Bravo versenyterületen a Laser Európa Kupa laseresei álltak rajthoz Laser 4.7, Laser Radial és Laser Standard kategóriákban, versenyvezetőjük Dávid Júlia. Az eleinte 8-9 csomós szél itt is leállással kezdte a délutánt, így miután a Standard és Radiál versenyzők rajtja rendben lement, a 4.7 csoportnak az általános visszahívást követően halasztást rendelt el a versenyvezetőség egy szélforduló miatt. Az időbeni csúszás miatt a Laser 4.7 versenyzőknek esélyük sem volt egy második futam teljesítésére. A Standard csoportnak rendben lement a második futam, a Radiálnak és a 4.7 versenyzőknek pedig 1-1 futamot sikerült teljesíteni a leálló szél miatt.
A Charlie területen a 420 és 29er egységek versenye zajlott, Igali Csilla vezetésével. Ők is halasztással kezdték a délutánt, miután a kiérkezést követően a 6-7 csomós szél leállni látszott. A várva várt erősödés érkeztével 2 futamot sikerült lebonyolítani mindkét csapatnak. Az első futamban 210 fokról fújó 8-12 csomós, míg a második futamban a 190 fokra forduló szél miatt pályamódosítást követően sikerült még egy sikeres futamot lebonyolítani a 6-7 csomós átlagszélben, amely a futam közben 10-11 csomóval is fújt.
Az egységek nagyon fegyelmezett vitorlázással szép 2-2 futamot teljesítettek, a 29erek 35 perces idővel, míg a 420-asok 50-55 perces idővel.
A partra érkezést követően pasta party, bűvész show és a Rooster Hungary 1 éves szülinapját ünneplő hatalmas torta várta a gyerekeket.

Patience is a virtue
After a half-day waiting on the shore, the second day of the Rooster Laser Europe Cup & BYC Cup Youth Ranking contest continued with successful races. In the early hours of the afternoon, the Laser, Optimist and the crew of the 420 and 29er sailors left the port in a pleasant 6 -7 knots wind.
On the Alpha course the 122 Optimist competitors were racing in blue and yellow colored groups. After the competitors arrived to the course, the northeast wind stopped, so the race started with postponement. After a fourtyfive minutes of wait, a stable 13 to 14 knots of fresh wind came in from 200 to 220 degrees, in which 2-2 excellent races were held by Daniel Holló and his race committie. Because of the early sunset, there was no chance to continue the competiton. Based on two races hungarian racers dominated the competition.
In the Bravo competition area, Laser Europe Cup Lasers have been competing in Laser 4.7, Laser Radial and Laser Standard categories, and the race leader was Júlia Dávid. The 8-9 knots wind stopped in the afternoon, that’s why after the great start of the Radial, Standard boat classes, the race organizing committiee ordered the postponement for the 4.7 group. We ran out of time, so the 4.7 boatclass had no chance to completing the second race. We closed the day with a great second race of the Standard boat class, and with 1-1 race of the Radial and 4.7 competitors.
In a Charlie area, 420 and 29er units competed under the leadership of Csilla Igali. This time, an afternoon begins with a postponement, after the 6 to 7 knots of wind dropped. With the expected intensifying wind, two races were completed for both teams.
The units carried out a very good 2-2 race with very disciplined sailing: the 29er boat class with a 35 minutes and the 420 class with 50-55 minutes race time.
After the races pasta party, magician show and a grand Rooster Hungary birthday cake were waiting for the competitors.
